River Kanjirappuzha originates from the mountain region which lies between Malappuram and Kozhikode districts.
The river flows through Chaliyar panchayath in Malappuram district and ultimately joins Chaliyar near Chaliyarmukku where Karimpuzha also meets Chaliyar. The Adyanpara Waterfalls are situated on the river.
